Our client, a prominent company in the aluminum extrusion industry, seeks a licensed millwright for their night shift operations.

Job Description

Report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. Responsible for maintaining all manufacturing equipment and components. Share knowledge and train team members as part of the Maintenance team.


Profil


Education/Experience:

  • Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433a) Trade Certification with at least a Grade 12 education.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic in industrial settings.
  • High energy, creativity, self-confidence, time management, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience or training in troubleshooting industrial maintenance machines.

Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience with electrical controls and PLCs (Allen Bradley) is a plus.
  • Proficient in welding and fabrication.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with various equipment including hand tools, drill press, lathe, cranes, electrical instruments, saws, welding machines, forklifts, scissor lifts, power tools, milling machines, and cutting equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain mechanical, fluidic, welding, and plant equipment with minor electrical troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Work independently in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and communicate repair needs.
  • Share knowledge and train team members on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Coach operators on equipment capabilities and preventative measures.
  • Follow and improve the preventive maintenance program.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, including initiating purchase requests and maintaining orderliness.

Your main responsibilities will include: • Growing revenues and fostering new relationships with strong clients. • Developing value-driven emails to attract new clients. • Calling prospective clients daily to obtain and close agreements for services. • Establishing client expectations and effectively communicating them to appropriate parties. • Advising clients on staffing solutions. • Facilitating the development of professional service agreements (including negotiating terms when necessary) between OpTalent and clients. • Actively promoting OpTalent's services through social media, participation in professional associations, trade shows, and other public relations opportunities. • Focusing on business development in the Ontario and Canada English markets. • Maintaining the client and candidate databases. • Self-generating new leads, appointments, and referrals through day-to-day new business activity. • Understanding clients' recruitment needs and providing tailored solutions. • Ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. • Conducting sales presentations and meetings with prospective clients. • Negotiating terms of business and closing deals effectively. • Achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs. Requirements and skills for this role are: • 1-2 years of experience in business development, B2B sales. • 1-2 years of experience in the recruitment/agency industry is a huge asset. • A proactive and motivated approach to achieving results. • Experience in manufacturing and skilled trade recruitment is a huge asset. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). • Experience with social media. • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset. • Strong oral and written communication skills. We offer a base salary of $70,000 to $75,000 based on experience, plus an unlimited commission package.
