Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the day-to-day maintenance and operation of company facilities. This role performs preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and general upkeep of buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment. The successful candidate is safety-focused, hands-on, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. This is a full-time, in-person position based at our head office in Saint John, NB. 

• Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.
• Diagnose and complete repairs related to building infrastructure and equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns.
• Support repairs involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work.
• Install, replace, and maintain facility fixtures and equipment.
• Assist with facility projects, renovations, and workspace modifications.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Ensure work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Post secondary education in a related field
• 2+ years of experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license is required
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices considered an asset
• Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in various environmental conditions.
