About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Maintenance & Operations Assistant Manager, the Maintenance Worker II performs a variety of semi-skilled, and unskilled tasks related to the upkeep of NSH properties (facilities & grounds) and related infrastructure including, but not limited to, the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and service requirements of all grounds and facility related infrastructure and related equipment, assisting other maintenance and operations trades and other related duties as required.


The Maintenance Worker II assists with maintaining and following operational, equipment, tools, and safety codes, standards, and procedures. Duties may include corrective maintenance on fuses, belts, door hardware, ice machines, drains, vents, and preventative maintenance on BAS operation, fire equipment inspections and annual scheduling, unregistered boiler oil filters, HVAC filters, water softener systems, etc. Travel within the zone or other zones may be required.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:



  • Successful completion of the educational portion of a recognized skilled trades program such as electrical, plumbing, industrial/mechanical, carpentry, or 4th class power engineer.

  • Must be working towards certification in a skilled trade

  • Able to Support maintenance at other sites as required.

  • Building maintenance experience is an asset

  • Ability to operate various motor vehicles, machinery, tools and equipment related to the work environment

  • Ability to work in an environment with conflicting priorities, demanding deadlines and time pressures

  • Demonstrated knowledge and observation of safe work practices is required.

  • Other related duties as required.

  • Permanent part time (40%) position; 30 hours biweekly

Compensation and Benefits

$26.84 - $27.61 Hourly
