What you will be doing: 

As the Manager, AI & Data Science, you will support the advancement of Tangerine’s predictive, prescriptive, and cognitive analytics capabilities by partnering closely with business, product, digital, CRM, and technology teams. This role will focus on delivering scalable analytics solutions, improving customer targeting and decisioning strategies, and supporting the development of production-ready models within Tangerine’s evolving AI and data ecosystem.

You will help design, implement, monitor, and optimize Next-Best-Action capabilities, predictive models, campaign measurement frameworks, and business insights that support customer acquisition, growth, engagement, and retention. You will also contribute to the modernization of Tangerine’s Data Science practice by promoting automation, experimentation, sound governance, and continuous improvement.

Is this role right for you? - In this role you will:

• Support Tangerine’s Campaign Optimization strategy by partnering with Product, Digital, CRM, and Channel teams to design intelligent targeting, treatment, and measurement approaches.


• Develop and operationalize predictive, prescriptive, and cognitive models to support automated insights, real-time decisioning, and customer personalization.


• Lead analytics delivery for business use cases, including opportunity sizing, scenario analysis, campaign insights, model recommendations, and value realization tracking.


• Coach and support AI & Data Science team members, helping build technical capability, analytical discipline, business acumen, and a culture of curiosity, innovation, and continuous learning.


• Partner across teams to translate complex analytics into clear business recommendations, helping stakeholders make informed decisions and prioritize high-impact opportunities.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:

• University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.


• 3–5+ years of experience in analytics, AI/ML, data science, or advanced modelling, preferably within financial services.


• Experience with analytics tools such as Python, BigQuery, GCP, Vertex AI, SQL, or similar platforms.


• Strong experience developing, validating, monitoring, or implementing predictive models and analytical solutions.


• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into practical business recommendations.


• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
