Who you are:
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial reporting, budgeting, and financial planning activities. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role supports the organization’s financial operations by ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and meaningful financial insights that support business decision-making.
This role partners closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to support financial planning, operational budgeting, and financial analysis while helping maintain financial discipline and transparency in a growing fintech environment.
What you'll do:
Month-End Close, Reporting and Controls
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all close activities.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
Perform and oversee general ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure all reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner.
Maintain detailed month-end schedules and working papers to support financial results and audit requirements.
Apply and maintain compliance with IFRS 15 revenue recognition standards, including review of customer contracts and revenue arrangements.
Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue, WIP, and revenue recognition schedules.
Collaborate with operational teams to ensure accurate project accounting and revenue timing.
Support internal and external audits by coordinating documentation and financial information.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insights on financial performance against targets
Develop financial models and analysis to support business initiatives and strategic decisions.
Provide financial insights and reporting to support leadership decision-making.
Financial Controls & Compliance
Maintain strong financial controls and support compliance with internal financial policies.
Operational Finance Support
Partner with department leaders to support operational budgeting and cost management.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and data accuracy.
Support improvements to reporting tools, and dashboards.
What you bring:
3 - 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis.
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
CPA designation acquired or in progress
Experience managing full-cycle month-end close, financial reporting and audit processes.
Strong understanding of IFRS accounting standards, particularly IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
Experience with forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.
Understanding of software business models (licenses, subscriptions, services).
Experience with NetSuite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Bonus Points if you have the following:
Experience working in fintech, SaaS, or technology organizations.
Experience in Blackline.
