Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager, Finance Transformation to support the development of financial systems and improvement of financial operations at Cando Rail & Terminals. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the modernization of Cando’s key financial systems and processes, supporting both the experienced growth of the Company and preparing it for continued growth in the future. This position reports to the Director, Finance Transformation and requires a CPA designation and a strong background in leadership, with at least 5 years of experience, preferably including experience in transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement & Technology Advancement

• Manage and execute project workstreams to support the modernization of financial systems and reporting tools, leveraging automation and data analytics


• Enhance efficiency in financial workflows, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting


• Manage and execute project workstreams to support the execution of the implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning system to support the current and future needs of the Company


• Manage and execute project workstreams for the integration of new acquisitions into all financial aspects of the Company


• Assess key workflows for modernization and efficiency using process and system enhancements


• Assess and understand key operational processes and their integration with finance and non-finance systems


• Support the development of financial reporting models, including the redesign of the chart of accounts to capture key financial and operational metrics across the Company’s segments and business units

 Team Leadership & Development

• Lead key workstreams for ERP planning and implementation, and finance integration of new acquisitions


• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation

 Qualifications & Experience

• CPA designation is required


• 5+ years of progressive finance experience


• Strong knowledge of financial planning and reporting, finance integration, risk management, and experience implementing technological solutions


• Excellent communication and critical thinking/problem solving skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
