Manager, Manufacturing and Process Engineering (Systems Build) – Onsite

We have an amazing opportunity for a Manager, Manufacturing and Process Engineering (Systems Build) to join our world class facility in Ottawa, ON.

As our Manager, Manufacturing and Process Engineering you will oversee all production and process engineering activities to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective operations. You will lead teams responsible for daily manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement as well as ensure production goals are met while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Salary Range: $119,500 - $159,300 plus bonus opportunity

Your Challenge:

Manufacturing Operations

  • Lead daily production to meet schedule, quality, and delivery requirements

  • Develop production plans, staffing strategies, and resource allocation

  • Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in efficiency and cost

  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards

  • Coach, mentor, and evaluate manufacturing team members

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues

  • Partner with equipment support team to ensure equipment needs are supported for production

Process Engineering

  • Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes and equipment

  • Optimize processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and structured problem solving

  • Support equipment selection, installation, qualification, and improvement

  • Maintain process documentation, work instructions and department procedures

  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes

  • Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions

  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for capital investments, automation, and process improvements

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Champion Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Foster strong collaboration across production, engineering, quality, and supply chain functions

  • Promote a safe, healthy, and inclusive work environment

  • Build relationships that support team success and organizational goals

What You Bring:

Core Skills

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop high performing teams

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and foster collaboration

  • Ability to manage conflict constructively and guide teams towards consensus.

  • Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities under tight timelines

  • Solid understanding of electronics manufacturing (Surface Mount Technology), testing and troubleshooting

  • Statistical analysis capability for measurement systems and process trends

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP for production, planning, materials or shop floor processes

  • Knowledge of Agile PLM or similar product lifecycle management systems

  • Exposure to automation or advanced manufacturing technologies

  • Familiarity with PFMEA, control plans, and validation protocols

  • Experience supporting New Product Instruction (NPI) environments

  • Understanding of supply chain or quality systems interactions

  • Understanding of supply chain or quality system interactions

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business or equivalent

  • 5-7 Years of experience in manufacturing and engineering leadership

  • Demonstrated success leading cross functional teams

  • Proven track record driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
