The Sonar Product Integration (SPI) team is excited to offer an opportunity for a Manufacturing Coordinator specializing in the electrical assemblies of TRAPS system builds. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the department manager with planning and executing product builds for a range of assemblies including (but not limited to) cables, racks, amplifiers, transformers, control panels, and junction boxes.
Beyond production, you’ll collaborate closely with department leadership to help foster a positive, engaging work environment and support employee growth and career development within the team.
Responsibilities
Ownership: Take the lead on Build Management (BM) activities to drive on-time delivery of work packages, coordinate resources, resolve process, quality, and safety issues, and ensure all required documentation is in place for QA/QC acceptance.
Mentorship: Support and coach SPI team members through collaborative problem-solving and technical guidance, helping build capability, confidence, and self-sufficiency.
Technical Leadership: Serve as the go-to technical expert for electrical build activities, identifying the tools, equipment, workspace, and resources required for successful execution.
Collaboration: Partner across and beyond the Manufacturing team to address quality gaps as well as plan and implement improvements to equipment, production systems, build documentation, and work methods.
Communication: Actively engage with Manufacturing, Engineering, Project, and Program teams to maintain alignment on priorities and ensure smooth coordination.
Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent adherence to best practices, standards, and compliance requirements, including configuration capture activities required by customers and programs.
Continuous Improvement: Champion and support continuous improvement initiatives within the SPI team to enhance efficiency and overall effectiveness.
Safety: Promote and maintain a safe, compliant work environment by supporting 5S practices and collaborating with the JOHSC.
Experience and Qualifications
Formal engineering or technical education (electrical disciplines preferred).
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Previous leadership experience and/or training.
Demonstrated commitment to improving and supporting team member.
Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal stakeholder.
Previous experience in product build planning.
Previous experience in leading and executing test activities.
