Job Description - Marketing and Media Administrator

Position Summary


KCR Community Resources is seeking a Marketing and Media Administrator to support community-based programs through marketing, media, information sharing, and outreach. This role works closely with the Community Services team to connect individuals and organizations to community, health, and human services while supporting KCR’s communications, workshops, and events.



Key Responsibilities


Community Information & Referrals



  • Maintain and update the KCR Community Resources Database

  • Create community resource publications using database information

  • Provide information and referrals to individuals and organizations via phone, email, and in-person contact

  • Support updates to non-profit professional development workshop materials

  • Update KCR’s website as required


Marketing & Media



  • Support the implementation of KCR’s marketing and communications strategies

  • Assist with producing a bi-weekly e-newsletter

  • Create, schedule, and share content across KCR’s social media platforms

  • Promote KCR programs and community supports available in the Central Okanagan

  • Implement internal marketing and media requests

  • Support new media, branding, and outreach initiatives


Workshops, Outreach & Events



  • Assist with planning and coordinating non-profit workshops, including participant and facilitator registration

  • Help plan and organize outreach activities and community events

  • Support the planning and delivery of KCR events

  • Perform other related duties to support the Community Services Department


Qualifications & Skills



  • Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, non-profit management, human resources, education, social sciences, or a related field (preferred)

  • Experience volunteering and/or working with volunteers

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent social media and digital media skills

  • Experience developing resources and informational materials

  • Experience engaging the public and/or providing customer service
