Job Description - Marketing Communications Generalist

You’re a talented all-in-one marketer with serious business acumen. Drafting impeccable client emails, organizing virtual and in-person workshops, serving as a subject matter expert for the team – you do it all well. You’re a confident self-starter, able to stand your ground in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

We’re pleased to partner with our client, a professional services firm, in their search for a Marketing Coordinator. The right person for the role has worked in a coordinator-level position and enjoys having a wide range of responsibilities on their to-do list. Plus, they’re known for being an excellent writer and a strong project manager.

About the workplace 

This is a full-time hybrid role that involves working (minimum) 3 days/week from their Vancouver, BC office once the initial 5 day/week training period is complete. 

About the role 

  • Organize and oversee all logistics for the company’s events and workshops (virtual and in-person) from start to finish. Act as point person for speakers and attendees, provide day-of management and troubleshooting, and analyze relevant metrics and results. 
  • Create content, monitor activity and engage with audiences on social media platforms. 
  • Update and post website content. 
  • Design a wide variety of marketing materials (presentations, newsletters, email campaigns, graphics, etc.) 
  • Manage the publication of the company's newsletter, which includes coordinating submissions, advertising, posting and promotion.
  • Track and report on relevant data and KPIs. 
  • Serve as the CRM subject matter expert, providing support and training as needed. 
  • Provide additional support to various marketing and business development initiatives that arise.
  • The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000, along with extended health/vision/dental benefits, discretional benefits for transit, and more.

    About you

  • 2+ years of experience in a coordinator-level role (preferably within professional services industry).
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. 
  • Proficient in CRM programs, WordPress, Eventbrite. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong project manager who’s able to multi-task and prioritize tasks to ensure successful on-time completion. 
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high-level of accuracy in data management. 
  • Demonstrate meticulous care in ensuring marketing content aligns with the company’s brand.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
