Material Handler

Description

Required immediately, our Local Winnipeg Branch is seeking a Full Time Material Handler.  

Position Summary:

The Material Handler is primarily responsible for the shipping and receiving of countertops and related products.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strong organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication
• Basic computer skills with capability of learning new software
• Have valid driver’s license and clean criminal record
• Basic mathematical skills
• Good measuring skills
• Understanding of warehouse processes
• Forklift operators’ certificate and/or able to obtain one
• Physically fit

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Transports merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas including loading and unloading delivery vehicles
• Maintains shipping & receiving dock in an orderly fashion
• Maintains industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working conditions
• Executes daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner
• Maintains the work area clean, safe and organized
• Lifts and carries merchandise as needed including waste disposal and recycling activities
• Collects and disposes garbage and housekeeping activities
• Other duties as assigned
