Material Handler Tooling

Location: Windsor, Ontario

Cannon Automotive, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler Tooling in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler Tooling is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:

• Bring dies in/out of tool room


• Wash Dies as required


• Set-up Dies in Bays of Tool Room


• Responsible for general shop labor – 5S boards maintained, Wash Bay and general shop floor cleaning activities sustained


• Responsible for P/M on Transfer Fingers


• Pre-stage tools for production, along with changing the Julian date stamp if required


• Support yard organization – Ensure obsolete tools are organized, Barn is kept organized, Parallels and Setup equipment kept organized


• Operates equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes and dollies required to move or reorganize storage


• Complete all relevant and required documentation prior to shift ending. (Huddle Board)


• Other duties as required 


• Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook

Minimum Qualifications:

• Knowledge of dies, including die wash and set-up


• Ability to run machinery, including grinder, mills, drill press, etc.


• Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)


• Ability to work all shifts (days, afternoons, midnights)
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset 


• 1-3 years’ experience in a tooling environment

The pay range for this role is $22.76/hour to $30.53/hour.
