Materials Handler

Zaber Technologies is looking for a quick-learning Material Handler with a strong mechanical aptitude to assist in the manufacture of components used in our precision devices.

As a member of the Machine Shop Team, your primary responsibility will be to cut and deliver material to the CNC shop, and clean, polish, and deburr finished parts. You may also be assisting with other machine shop operations as required.

With your strong organizational skills and high personal standards, you’ll work efficiently to assist with the operation of machine shop equipment as required. After receiving comprehensive training for the equipment you’ll use, you will need to work independently with minimal supervision.

Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Follow safe work procedures
• Receive and deliver material to CNC machine shop
• Cut material on an automatic bandsaw, CNC waterjet, or chop saw
• Clean, polish, and deburr finished parts
• Use drill presses and tapping machines
• Assist with operation of additional Machine Shop equipment as required
• Assist with maintenance of shop equipment
• Drive a forklift

Material Handler Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• Wants to learn new processes and skills in the shop
• Ability to keep up with concurrent tasks

Material Handler Wage:

• The current wage for this role is $25 - $30 depending on experience and qualifications.
