We're a locally owned, community-focused grocery store in the heart of Gibsons, and we’re looking for an experienced and motivated Meat Department Manager to lead our talented team. If you take pride in your craft, thrive in a leadership role, and are passionate about quality, safety and customer service — we'd love to meet you!

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the daily operations of the Meat Department, ensuring smooth and efficient service


• Order meat and fish products, manage inventory levels, and minimize waste


• Monitor and manage gross margin and department profitability


• Hire, schedule, train and supervise department staff


• Maintain the highest standards for cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and store policies


• Stock, rotate and merchandise product displays to maximize sales and minimize shrink


• Cut alongside your team on a daily basis — leading by example


• Build positive relationships with customers and respond to their needs and special requests
  


• Lift up to 50 lbs. as part of your daily responsibilities

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 3 years of meat cutting experience, with supervisory or management experience preferred


• Strong understanding of meat products, food safety, and sanitation procedures


• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team


• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


• Experience managing inventory, ordering, and gross margin


• A positive attitude and commitment to outstanding customer service


• Legally eligible to work in Canada
