Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical
Project Manager to join their Vancouver office. This role is ideal for an
individual with a strong background in building mechanical systems design and
project delivery across commercial, institutional, and healthcare sectors specializing in HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection. The
successful candidate will manage multi -disciplinary project teams, liaise
directly with clients, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget,
and to the highest technical standards.

Key
Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the
  mechanical design and delivery of commercial, institutional, and healthcare
  building projects.
  
• Coordinate project
  schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client objectives
  and company quality standards
  
• Oversee preparation
  of mechanical system designs including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and
  medical gas systems
  
• Collaborate closely
  with architects, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines
  
• Provide technical
  guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate mechanical designers and
  engineers
  
• Conduct regular
  client meetings, maintain strong client relationships, and support business
  development activities
  
• Review and approve
  technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
  
• Ensure compliance
  with applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards, CSA standards, and healthcare
  design guidelines (e.g., CSA Z317)
  
• Support proposal
  development, fee estimates, and project scope preparation.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
  in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Professional
  Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia, or eligibility for
  registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)
  
• Minimum 8+ years of
  experience in mechanical building systems design and project management, with
  proven experience in commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects
  
• Strong
  understanding of local codes, standards, and healthcare facility requirements
  
• Excellent
  communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  
• Proficiency with
  mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and related engineering
  tools
  
• Demonstrated
  ability to lead project teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and
  manage multiple projects simultaneously.
