Mechanical Site Inspector

Mechanical Site Inspector (Building Systems) | GTA, ON

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well -established M & E
consulting engineering firm to support the hire of a Mechanical Site Inspector.
This role is primarily site -based, supporting high -rise and low -rise multi -residential
developments (95% of projects) across the GTA, with occasional exposure to other building types as
required.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on -site inspections of mechanical
  systems (HVAC, plumbing) during construction.
  
• Monitor work completed by general contractors
  and M&E subcontractors.
  
• Identify deficiencies, non -compliance issues,
  and construction discrepancies.
  
• Prepare detailed field reports documenting site
  conditions and findings.
  
• Track and follow up on deficiencies to ensure
  timely resolution.
  
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and
  project stakeholders on -site.
  
•  Ensure installations align with drawings,
  specifications, and applicable codes.
  

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical
  construction, site inspection, or related field roles.
  
• Strong hands -on experience working with general
  contractors and M&E trades.
  
• Mechanical expertise is mandatory; electrical
  knowledge is considered an asset.
  
• Proven experience in residential construction
  projects (high -rise or low -rise).
  
• Strong report writing and documentation skills.
  
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or
  related field is considered an asset.
  
• Ability to work independently on -site and make
  practical, experience -based decisions. 
  

The expected compensation for this role is approximately
$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
