You hold a permanent full-time position (35-40 hrs/week).

Your tasks at a glance
You are the master of keeping our tools clean and sterile.
You receive, sort, disassemble, decontaminate, clean, assemble, wrap, sterilize, and store instruments.
You keep accurate records of sterile items.
You make sure to rotate stock (FIFO) and reprocess outdated supplies.
You perform designated cleaning duties, and restock shelves, cupboards, and carts according to established written policies/procedures.
You are responsible for maintaining, testing, and keeping records of sterilization tests (Bowie-Dicks, BI's, etc.) and regular maintenance and testing of the Ultrasonic.
You are patient and can stand for long periods of time, while doing repetitive movements and remaining focused on tasks.
You adhere to sterilization standards and ensure that they are met on a regular basis.
You support the organization’s Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization’s overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.
You will be cross-trained to work in other clinic positions, such as Surgical Assistant or Receptionist.

You have excellent communication skills in English.
You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).
Required: You possess a recognizedSterile Processing / Medical Device Reprocessing Technician certificate (MDRT) and a current IASCHMM (HSPA) certificate.
Required: You are willing to travel between LASIK MD Edmonton North West & LASIK MD Edmonton South for training and work.
Schedule: You have flexible work availability from Monday to Friday (Shifts between 6:30am and 6:00pm).
