Hourly Rate: $47.00 – $50.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Medical Radiation Technologist/ X-Ray Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures to produce high-quality images for physician review, supporting accurate diagnosis and patient care. The technologist operates all general radiography equipment, including C-Arm, portable X-ray, and ultrasound, while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation protection protocols. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent patient care, and collaboration with interdisciplinary clinical teams.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current C.M.R.I.T.O. & C.A.M.R.T. Registration, in good standing


• Proficient work experience in all aspects of relevant general radiography equipment including C-Arm, Portable X-ray and Ultrasound


• Recent expertise in all areas of General Radiography preferred


• Strong organizational skills combined with strong interpersonal skills


• Demonstrated excellent patient care skills with strong team approach attitude


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with the ability to provide excellent customer service


• Positive work and attendance record is essential

Responsibilities

• Ability to perform all types of radiography procedures including fluoroscopy


• Will produce high quality diagnostic images for physician review


• Ensure all images are saved and filed in the appropriate medical record


• Responsible for the care and maintenance of all radiology equipment


• Administrative duties as required in relation to radiation protection and log documentation (managing the exposure badges, reporting to the ministry etc.)


• Collaborate with other clinical, surgical and diagnostic imaging team members to optimize use of available resources


• Maintain a safe working environment for co-workers, patients and visitors


• Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment and procedures as required


• Support a patient centered environment


• Other duties as required
