Membership Sales Director at a Private Members Club

We are looking for a Membership Sales Director to join our team who will ultimately be responsible for all functions associated with new member acquisition and retention for The Vancouver Club.

This responsibility involves training, leading and motivating the Sales Specialists; developing and maintaining a Sales & Marketing Plan; creating, reviewing and analyzing monthly and quarterly reports pertaining to member recruitment and retention; overseeing all sales activities (both inbound and outbound) with the Membership Sales team, and managing the onboarding and retention of all new and existing members.

As a department head and senior staff member, it is imperative that monthly and annual sales goals are met or exceeded. In order to meet sales goals, he/she must be continuously active in creating and implementing prospective member campaigns with the sales team, building effective relationships with all existing Members, and attending Club activities and events in order to uncover opportunities for potential members to join.

The ideal candidate for this role must be goal driven and have a creative mindset. He/She must be able to produce effective Sales & Marketing plans, be able to effectively report on results, and have proven managerial experience to successfully lead and motivate the sales team. Leading by example, setting goals, and providing necessary training to improve the sales team's performance is paramount.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing or Hospitality Management.
Minimum of 5 years of sales experience, preferably in the Private Club or Hospitality industry.
Strong computer knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
Ability to create and analyze reports.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Minimum of 7 years experience managing a sales team.
Must demonstrate superior customer service.
Must have a professional appearance and manner, a gracious attitude and the ability to interact with diverse groups.
Will be required to maintain a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
