Metals Project Manager

This Architectural Metals Project Manager position will be based out of our Halifax Branch (25 Neptune Crescent, Dartmouth, NS B2Y 4P9), reporting to the Regional Architectural Metals Manager.

A Day in The Life

·         Manage and maintain budgets and schedules

·         Confer with and direct supervisory personnel and subcontractors

·         Engage in planning and executing work procedures; interpret specifications, coordinate various phases of construction to prevent delays, and review change orders to ensure additional work is properly completed

·         Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and adheres to construction schedules

·         Inspect job sites to ensure all safety documentation and proper safe work procedures are being followed

·         Confer with fellow Project Managers, field staff, inspectors, and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.

·         Consult with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve issues 

What We Are Seeking

·         3-5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a Construction environment

·         Experience working with architectural panels and other rain screen products

·         Experience with curtain wall / glazing systems, roofing & waterproofing is considered an asset

·         Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field

·         Proficiency in MS office package, including MS Project

·         Highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities

·         Strong negotiation and communication skills

·         Ability to multitask and work in a team environment
