METIS SPIRIT WORKER
Full-Time – 18 Month Term Position

Hours of Work: 7.25 hours per day – some evenings and weekends
Classification: HS1 $26.79 - $36.50 per hour
Location: Winnipeg, MB
The Metis Spirit Worker (MSW) is responsible for the service delivery and coordination of Metis Child, Family and Community Services (MCFCS) Agency’s Metis Spirit Program, for mentoring and coaching youth in care and Young Adults on AYA/SYA to practice and achieve the skills necessary to live successfully on their own, for providing individual counselling, connecting young adults with community-based supports, group programming, and completing administrative and reporting requirements.

Before commencing employment, the successful applicant will be asked to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, Child Abuse Registry Check, Prior Contact Check and a Driver’s Abstract upon hire at their own expense. A valid Manitoba driver’s license and the use of a personal vehicle are requisites as travel within and outside the city is required.
