Miner 4 (Trucker)

Be a part of the initial team to grow and operate a regionally significant new underground mine development that is rapidly becoming the future of the iconic Red Lake gold mining district in Ontario, Canada.

Reporting to the Mining Supervisor, the successful candidate will work on a 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off schedule and safely operate underground scoops while following safe work procedures to provide overall production and safe target support for the Red Lake Madsen Mine team.   The Miner 4 position offers an hourly rate of $67.53, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $26.50 per hour through a production bonus, for a total earning potential of $94.03 per hour.

The focus of this role will include:

• Follow safe working practices and site safety guidelines


• Follow shift plan as outlined by the Underground Mine Supervisor


• Perform routine maintenance of mining machinery


• Operate haulage trucks in accordance with site standards and safe operating procedures


• Coordinate muck movement with scooptram operators, other haul truck operators, and the Underground Mine Supervisor


• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma


• Previous experience as an underground truck driver considered an asset


• Certified in the common core program


• Ability to work independently


• Excellent proven team player approach to work


• Valid driver’s license
