WHO WE ARE

Our roots stretch back to 1911, when we were founded in Canada as an evangelism and Scripture distribution ministry led by a national membership of volunteers. Over the decades our ministry has broadened to inviting women and men of all vocations to share the gospel with innovative new Scripture resources alongside local church partners. In 2015, ShareWord Global was launched to help expand the work in more regions within Canada and around the world.

ShareWord Global (SWG) is a ministry committed to engaging the global Church to do one simple thing: go! Our mission is to ignite and fuel a passion in people’s hearts to share the gospel—training and equipping them, as a community of believers, to effectively introduce people to Jesus through God’s Word. SWG fuels the movement to “go!” and reach more people with the gospel through relational evangelism and training, innovative Scripture resources, and by partnering with local churches worldwide.

Through partnerships with local church and other like-minded ministries, we equip Christians of all nations with evangelism training and Scripture materials, so they can feel more empowered to share the gospel in their communities. We ignite and fuel a passion in people’s hearts to share the gospel as a community of believers. Because together, we can tell the world.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Ministry Support Manager provides management and support to the Ministry Coordinators & Administrator.  The goal is to grow and strengthen ShareWord Global’s ministry and mission effectiveness. This Ministry Support Manager has a heart for the ministry and strives to support our SWG members & volunteers who work together with us to share the gospel.  

Reports to: VP of Ministry
Term: Full time
Location: Hybrid – Guelph, ON

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinator/Administrator Management (40%)

• Provide management and direction to ministry coordinators/administrator


• Provide feedback and insights so as to improve processes and programs


• Work closely with the Project Management Lead to ensure processes are in place to facilitate work and achieve desired outcomes

Member Care (20%)

• Provide support and care to SWG members – resolving issues and improving service levels


• Implement and accelerate our community of volunteers


• Provide feedback and insights as a result of supporter interactions so as to improve processes and programs

Liaison with Ministry Directors/Managers (15%)

• Meet with Ministry Directors and managers to understand what support is needed for Ministry programs e.g. Ignite, GCPs, etc and implement the necessary supports to achieve these


• Provide feedback and insights to improve all aspects of the ministry
  

Other Tasks as Required (10%)

• Assist coordinators with urgent matters and during peak periods i.e. capacity constraints

Liaison with SWG Project Manager (10%)

• Consult on/and or/ participate in the formation of project plans that affect the Ministry Departments programs & services

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• A vibrant faith, evident to all through a character which reflects Christ.


• Strong administrative stills


• Strong team experience


• Adaptability to new technologies for ministry expansion.


• Ability to multitask and work quickly under sometimes tight deadlines.


• Self-starter and able to achieve goals with minimal oversight.

ASSETS

• Experience working in a not-for profit, charitable organization or church


• Experience with Blackbaud and Raisers Edge products
