This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mobile Shred Operator based in Canada.
This Mobile Shred Operator role is a hands-on, field-based position focused on secure document destruction and mobile fleet operations across diverse client sites and environments. You will operate a specialized mobile shredding truck, ensuring the safe transport and confidential destruction of sensitive materials. The role involves extensive driving, including remote and rugged routes, while maintaining strict safety and security standards. You will interact directly with clients on-site, providing reliable service and representing the organization with professionalism. In addition to driving responsibilities, you will manage loading, unloading, and heavy material handling tasks as part of daily operations. This is a dynamic role suited for individuals who enjoy independence, physical work, and travel across different regions.
Accountabilities:
- Operate a mobile shredding truck safely across urban, rural, and remote routes in varying weather and road conditions
- Load, transport, and securely handle confidential materials and heavy recycling bins without assistance
- Ensure on-site secure destruction of client documents while following strict security and compliance procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation, paperwork, and operational records for all completed routes and services
- Provide professional, clear, and reliable customer service during client interactions on-site
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and follow all safety, driving, and fleet maintenance protocols
- Support logistics operations by managing schedules, routes, and service delivery requirements efficiently
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of experience in route driving, transportation, or similar commercial driving roles preferred
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with Air Brake endorsement (Class 3 strongly preferred) and clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices, route navigation, and vehicle operation in varied conditions
- Ability to handle heavy physical workloads, including lifting up to 70 lbs and moving heavy bins regularly
- Comfortable working independently in remote or high-demand travel environments
- Strong attention to safety, compliance, and procedural accuracy
- Good communication skills and professional customer service approach
- Ability to pass background checks and meet security clearance requirements

- Hourly compensation of $27.54 with eligibility for overtime after 8 hours per day
