Modern Sales Co-op (AB)- Warehouse Associate

Due to continued growth, we are looking for individuals who have a great attitude and are willing to work hard as a Warehouse Associate in our Northeast Calgary location, located close to the Cross Iron Mills Mall and many other amenities. Under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, the position will assume a variety of responsibilities to ensure the safe and efficient movement of inventory within the Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

• Unloads and moves products and materials by using material handling equipment, ensuring efficient turnaround times
• Picks customer orders accurately as per RF Gun list and/or manual ordering system, ensuring productivity standards are achieved
• Stocks shelves with products and materials
• Prepares shipments and document shipments using in house software
• Verifies goods and compares orders with packing slips and purchase orders
• Assists the Distribution Manager with receiving documentation and paperwork, as required
• Responsible for minor inventory control
• Performs general warehouse duties, as required

The successful candidate must have and demonstrate the following:

• A positive attitude and good work ethic
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to bend/crouch, climb stairs, and safely use ladders to retrieve materials and products
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written English) skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
• Ability to work cohesively with employees and managers as part of a team
• Forklift license and experience is an asset
• Experience using computerized barcode scanning equipment is an asset
• Working knowledge of computers and data entry skills is an asset
