Carfair Composites is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).

POSITION SUMMARY:

To utilize your skills for various duties that include woodworking, custom designing, and tool fabrication.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

·       Laminates and/or tooling gel coating skills

·       Uses hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, protractors, and related pumps.

·       Uses various pneumatic and hand tools like chopper guns.

·       Does woodwork, body work, and body fairing.

·       Reads blueprint, drawing, and related, tolerances.

·       Uses tooling resins and gelcoat (e.g. OptiPlus)

·       Patches defects using hand mix putty and hardener.

·       Performs hand mixing of gelcoat and catalyst as well as using spray gun.

·       Able to perform sheet waxing.

·       Able to produce silicon inserts.

·         Good Math skills

·         Good verbal and written communication

·         Able to work independently and with a team with minimum supervision.

·         Demonstrated ability on initiative and sound judgment.

·         Ability to organize and prioritize workload.

·         Ability to train others when required.

·         Ability to read blueprint.

·         Good knowledge of using measuring such as Calipers, micrometer, and height gauges etc.

·         Good communication skills, ability to work with little supervision, and ability to work in a team environment.
