Acting as a key link between program leadership and frontline coaches and support agents, you will help maintain operational consistency, training quality, and engagement standards. The position combines people leadership, program coordination, and community impact within a mission-driven environment. You will play a central role in strengthening onboarding, training, and performance management processes while ensuring smooth program execution. This is a highly collaborative role where empathy, structure, and leadership directly contribute to improving access to inclusive physical activity. The environment is remote-first with occasional travel for on-site program support.

Accountabilities:

  • Supervise and support a team of coaches and support agents to ensure effective delivery of MOVE program classes and strong associate engagement.

  • Lead onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management activities to ensure a safe, positive, and development-focused work environment.

  • Coordinate regular team meetings and individual check-ins to support communication, alignment, and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee scheduling, time entry approvals, and operational tracking for assigned team members.

  • Act as a liaison between program leadership and day-to-day MOVE program operations to ensure smooth execution.

  • Support recruitment efforts, including hiring coordination, onboarding, and training of new associates.

  • Identify training gaps, operational needs, and improvement opportunities to strengthen program delivery.

  • Contribute to program planning, evaluation, and ongoing improvements to enhance participant experience and outcomes.

  • Monitor class attendance and participation to ensure program engagement and quality standards.

  • Collaborate on operational processes, documentation, and event coordination as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or team leadership experience in a people management or coaching capacity.

  • At least 1 year of experience delivering fitness, recreation, or physical activity programming.

  • Strong ability to coach, mentor, and build positive relationships with team members and participants.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt messaging to different audiences.

  • Comfortable using digital tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Office Suite in a remote work environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities including scheduling, coordination, and performance oversight.

  • Experience working with individuals with autism or intellectual disabilities is an asset.

  • Post-secondary education in kinesiology, recreation, physical education, or a related field is considered an asset.

  • Fitness-related certifications (e.g., personal training or group fitness) are considered an advantage.

  • Experience in remote team supervision or program delivery is a plus.

  • Flexibility to work core daytime hours (Monday to Friday, 11 AM–2 PM ET required), with additional availability considered an asset.

Benefits:

  • Annual compensation range: $43,600 – $55,200 CAD, depending on experience and performance

  • Remote-first work model with flexible work arrangements

  • Opportunity to contribute to a nationally scaled, inclusive youth fitness program

  • Meaningful impact supporting youth with autism and intellectual disabilities

  • Leadership role with direct responsibility for team development and program quality

  • Training and development opportunities in coaching, supervision, and program management

  • Collaborative and purpose-driven work environment

  • Exposure to community-focused health and wellness programming across Canada.
