Are you the person that every young person seems to trust?
This specialist secondary SEMH school in Surrey is looking for an outstanding Learning Mentor to support pupils aged 11-16 who have experienced significant barriers to education. Many students have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, trauma or adverse childhood experiences, meaning relationships come before results.
As a Learning Mentor, you'll become a consistent adult for pupils who need stability, encouragement and belief. Supporting students in lessons, during interventions and around the school, you'll help them regulate emotions, build confidence and re-engage with learning while working alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral staff.
The school is looking for resilient, patient and emotionally intelligent individuals who can build trust and remain calm under pressure. Experience in education is welcomed, but backgrounds in youth work, mentoring, residential care, coaching or similar environments are equally valued.
Please note, applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK. This is not a relocation opportunity and visa sponsorship is unavailable.
If you believe every young person deserves someone who won't give up on them, this Learning Mentor role could be your perfect next step.
