 WE’RE HIRING: Monitoring & Observability Engineer

 Halifax | Hybrid working – 2 days a week in the office

Ready to turn monitoring data into meaningful insights and make services more reliable? 

We’re looking for an experienced Monitoring & Observability Engineer to take the lead in developing and transforming an organisation-wide monitoring capability.

This is your chance to make a real impact, leading the migration to LogicMonitor, improving service visibility and building smarter, more proactive ways to identify and resolve issues before they affect customers. 

 What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the migration from Icinga, Grafana and Prometheus to LogicMonitor.


• Defining monitoring, alerting and dashboard standards across the organisation.


• Improving visibility across infrastructure, networks, applications, databases and critical services.


• Reducing alert noise and making alerts more meaningful and actionable.


• Developing service health monitoring, availability reporting and performance insights.


• Integrating monitoring with ITSM, automation and AI Operations platforms.


• Using KPIs and data to drive continuous improvement and service reliability.


• Providing technical leadership, sharing knowledge and helping teams get more from their monitoring tools.

 What we’re looking for:

An experienced monitoring and observability specialist with a strong background in enterprise monitoring platforms and a passion for improving service performance.

You’ll ideally bring experience with LogicMonitor, Icinga, Grafana and Prometheus, alongside knowledge of alerting strategies, dashboards, infrastructure and application monitoring, and scripting with Python, PowerShell or Bash.

Experience with AIOps, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, cloud monitoring or automated remediation would be a great bonus.
