THE POSITION

The
Guest Services Representative position isresponsible for greeting guests with
the most sincerely welcome, in an efficient and courteous manner. The position ensures
guests receive the best service possible from the property, by providing an
excellent check-in and check-out experience, addressing their needs, answering
their questions, resolving any complaints they may have throughout their stay,
and ensuring their stay, payment, and requests, are handled smoothly without
any error.

The
position will be directly reporting to the Director of Operations and other
managers of the front office, working alongside with Night Auditors, Concierge
team, and receiving requests from other departments and guests.

This
role requires in the SoHo Hotel Toronto office located at 318 Wellington
Street, Toronto, Ontario, on fluctuating schedule. Schedules are assigned
weekly, with the a mixture of morning, evening, weekdays and weekend shifts.

DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES

·Always demonstrate a high level of customer service.

·Managing operations at the Front Desk during the
overnight shift.

·Ensuring that Health and Safety standards are met
during the overnight shift.

·Processing daily operations reports.

·Posting charges to guest accounts and processing
payments accordingly.

·Closing, balancing and making necessary corrections to
guest’s accounts.

·Counting and balancing cash, credit cards and ledger
accounts.

·Investigating and fixing any out of balance
transactions or postings.

·Handles arrivals, early departments, and to walk in
guests.

·Use up-selling and iPrefer sign up techniques to
achieve hotel goals.

·Provide daily pass on to the management, department
heads and supervisors.

·Maintain responsibility and accountability for the
hotel property and the safety of guests, team members, and have authority for
the hotel operations while on duty.

·Maintain hotel policies and procedures and
confidentiality as guide lined as well as code of conduct.

·Responding to guest inquiries, complaints, and
concerns in a timely and efficient manner

·Ensuring all the reservations are updated and
responding to all reservations related requests.

·Completes end-of-day processes without any errors.

·Complete various audit reports for management.

·Processes reservation cancelations and no-shows

·Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

·Previous hotel experience / hospitality education is
required.

·Opera Cloud PMS experience preferred.

·Knowledge of Preferred standards is an asset.

·Must be able to work overnight shift, from 10:45pm –
7:15am.

·Must be flexible to work weeknights, weekends, and
holidays.

·Friendly and outgoing personality, with an outstanding
level of customer service and interpersonal skills.

·Excellent and professional communication and writing
skills.

·The candidate must be punctual, well organized and
have a keen eye for detail.

·Excellent problem solving, reasoning, motivating,
organization, leadership, and training abilities.

·Exceptional organizational skills and time management
skills.

·Must be friendly and committed to a high level of
guest service.

·Fluency in several languages an asset.

·The ability to handle confidential information.

·The ability to work efficiently independently, with
minimal supervision, as well as with others.

·Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

·Ability to multitask and meet assigned deadlines.

·Displays a professional positive attitude, maintains
enthusiasm, and celebrates success.

·Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
