Location: 1090 Don Mills Road, Toronto, ON
Pay Rate: $18.97/hour
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Overtime: ESA (Overtime after 44 hours per week)
Employment Type: Full-Time Nights

About the Role

As a Security Guard at CF Shops at Don Mills, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, professional, and friendly environment. You’ll patrol the property, respond to incidents, and ensure the safety of shoppers, tenants, and staff while providing exceptional service. This position is ideal for those who take pride in being proactive, observant, and dependable.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol property grounds and enforce safety policies and standards
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and alarms in a timely and professional manner
• Provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support when required
• Write detailed incident and shift reports using CF’s report-writing system
• Assist visitors and tenants with inquiries, directions, or security concerns
• Conduct Fire & Life Safety inspections
• Enforce the Trespass to Property Act in a fair and lawful manner
• Maintain professionalism while dealing with the public and law enforcement
• Support management with incident follow-ups and property hazard reports

Must-Have Criteria

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR (WSIB approved) certification
• Valid G2 or G Class Driver’s License (required for patrol duties)
• Minimum 2 COVID-19 vaccinations
• Proficient in English (oral and written)

Nice-to-Have (Optional)

• Ability to commute to Toronto for 4 days of pre-deployment training (Mon–Fri)
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) — required before or upon hire (training available)
