Job Description - Numeracy Support Lead Teacher (Early Years)

Position: Numeracy Support Lead Teacher (Early Years)Location: Frontier Mosakahiken SchoolStart Date: September 3, 2024 FTE: 1.00 FTE Term of Employment: PermanentApplication Deadline: Open Until Filled The Division provides a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, transportation and moving expense reimbursement, subsidized housing or housing allowance and isolation allowance in qualifying communities, annual travel reimbursement, reimbursement for approved courses and more! Frontier Mosakahiken School is a Nursery to Grade 12 school with approximately 470 students. The school is located in Moose Lake which is 100 km east of The Pas, Manitoba (a full service community) and is accessible by road. This lakeside community’s natural beauty provides for an abundance of outdoor recreation opportunities. Working in collaboration with the classroom teacher, the Literacy Support Teacher provides the following services: Programming support and development Classroom support Individualized and small group instruction Assessments Qualifications: Bachelor of Education Degree and Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for) Current knowledge of effective numeracy instruction and assessment practices Experience providing, creating and implementing individualized programming for At Risk students and students with special needs Knowledge and experience with the Confident Learners Program through The Learning Bar Strong planning and communication skills A strong background in formative assessment and data-driven instruction Knowledge and implementation of cooperative learning/small group instruction The ability to work alongside teachers, colleagues and contribute collaboratively as a team member Applicants are required to submit the following: cover letter current resume list of three professional references including email addresses and contact numbers, all of whom must have knowledge of the applicant’s performance in the applicant’s current or recent assignment Thank you for your interest; however,
