Job Description: The Assistant Head Nurse assists the Care Team Manager to assess, plan, coordinate, implement and evaluate Nursing Services of the nursing department in keeping with the policies, philosophies and objectives of the SHA.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

Other Education and Training

• Nursing diploma is acceptable

Competencies

• Advanced - Written Communication Skills


• Advanced - Verbal communication skills


• Basic - Computer skills

Knowledge and Abilities

• Ability to implement, utilize & evaluate best practice models of client care
