Occupational Therapist

• 37.5 hours weekly


• Salary range is $43.17 - $52.52 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience


• RRSP share plan and self-directed benefits


• 3 weeks paid vacation, plus 7.7% vacation pay at end of term (dependent on start date)


• Employees of the Child Development Centre primarily work following the school calendar

Excellent opportunity to join the professional team of the Child Development Centre in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon. Our growing team provides quality early intervention services to children from birth – 5 years of age throughout the Yukon. Our team of occupational therapists work as part of a transdisciplinary team and are responsible for assessment, consultation and intervention for children with a wide variety of needs. Travel to rural communities may be required. Relocation allowance is available.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in occupational therapy


• Eligible for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT)


• Experience working with young children with developmental needs and their families


• Experience working in a cross-cultural setting


• Experience with feeding and sensory integration is an asset
