Job Description - Office Administrator


Overview:
Responsible
for transportation requests, tracking shipments, and warehouse
reporting on CPI and orders shipping to support the operation of the
distribution centre and an offsite warehouse. Provide administrative
and staff support services to the Manager, Distribution Centre and other
management personnel. Prepares daily/monthly warehouse reports for CPI
and Showcase reports. Reviews processes and procedures to ensure work
instructions and SOP are accurate and up to date.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepares and monitors all transportation requests and major capital shipments.

2. Assist in the data base development of Warehouse CPI reporting.
3. Maintains daily/monthly and productivity reports, e.g. CPI, Show Case, Warehouse monthly hour report, orders shipped, etc.
4. Generate cycle counts, oversee counts, maintain counts, investigate and resolve variances or report them to Supervisor.
5.
Purchases all corrugated shipping supplies and Warehouse supplies.
Maintain accurate on hand inventories for all Warehouse supplies.
Obtains P.O.s for supply orders and schedules their delivery to arrive
when needed. Checks receiving documents to ensure that all purchased
items were received.
6. Reviews all bills for freight, and indicates
the correct general ledger code on each. Submits bills to Accounts
Payable for payment.
7. Processes all purchase requisitions for
shipping materials, office supplies, and distribution equipment.
Ensures that orders are not duplicated. Maintains an inventory of
Warehouse supplies to support the operation of the distribution center
by ordering materials from an approved catalogue and completing purchase
requisitions.
8. Provide back up for export department in preparation of export documentation for international locations.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
1. 5 years Warehouse/Transportation and administrative business experience in a similar capacity
2. Excellent organizational and oral communication skills.
3. Advanced PC skills including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.NCR
