Oil & Lube Technician

Fine Gold Resources is a placer mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March to October and are looking for qualified workers to join our dynamic team.

Currently we are in search of Oil and Lube Technician.

This position is best suited for an individual who enjoys working hard for half the year and playing hard for the rest of it. Typically, our employees work through the Yukon warmer months and enjoy warmer weather for the winter. 

We provide accommodations and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package.

We would welcome your spouse or partner to join you and will do our best to find appropriate work for them as well. 

We operate with two shifts each day - day and night with a rotation schedule of 21 days on and 3 days off. During time off employees may stay on the site or venture to Dawson city for some time away.

Duties will include the following:

• Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures.


• Receive direction from the mine supervisor for the day-to-day operations work schedule.


• Complete chassis lubrication, oil, and oil filter changes.


• Inspection of all equipment fluid levels air and cabin air filtration devices, belts, batteries, and other wear items and reporting on the status of such components.


• Keep track of inventory of services on the machinery.
  


• Perform other functions as maybe directed from time to time.

Qualifications:

• Experience with lubrication of equipment would be considered an asset.
  


• Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting.
