Our client, a leading hotel in Kingston, is seeking reliable and hardworking On-Call Banquet Housemen to support the successful execution of conferences, banquets, weddings, and other special events. The successful candidates will be responsible for setting up and breaking down event spaces, maintaining cleanliness throughout functions, and ensuring banquet equipment and inventory are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored.

Key Responsibilities
Set up banquet and function rooms according to event specifications, including arranging tables, chairs, staging, linens, dance floors, and other event equipment.
Break down function rooms promptly and efficiently after events, ensuring all furniture and equipment are returned to their designated storage areas.
Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of banquet and function spaces before, during, and after events.
Vacuum, sweep, mop, and clean event spaces to ensure hotel cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Assist in transporting, arranging, and storing banquet furniture and equipment safely.
Wash, sanitize, and properly store banquet inventory, including dishes, glassware, cutlery, serving utensils, trays, and other food and beverage equipment.
Ensure all banquet equipment is clean, organized, and readily available for future events.
Monitor function rooms throughout events and respond promptly to setup adjustments or operational requests.
Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and hotel operating procedures.
Report damaged equipment, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
Provide general operational support to the Banquet and Food & Beverage teams as required.
Perform other related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in hospitality, housekeeping, banquet operations, event setup, or a similar support role.
Previous experience in a hotel or conference facility is an asset.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and sanitation procedures.
Experience handling banquet equipment and event furniture is preferred.

Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks, including bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift.
Working Conditions
On-call employment based on hotel event schedules.
Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Work is performed in banquet halls, conference facilities, kitchens, storage areas, and other hotel event spaces.
