Job Overview:

Thanks to our innovative product lineup and "Make It Easy" mantra, BaseVac Dental has become the one of the fastest growing manufacturers of equipment for the North American dental market.

We are adding an Operations Manager to our team to help us stay organized and focused as we double our BaseVac Dental business to $6M in sales this year.

In this role, you will be responsible for forecasting, purchasing, production planning, quality management and project management. This role will be very hands-on and you will have an opportunity to grow with our business.

This job is located at our Mississauga head office near Dundas & the 403. You should plan to be in the office 5 days a week to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day operations, including production, inventory, and quality control in conjunction with our Production Manager.


• Collaborate with our Business Development Director to develop sales and production forecasts.


• Monitor, plan and purchase all materials needed for BaseVac sales and production.


• Collaborate with other team members to ensure on-time performance targets are met or exceeded.


• Lead our team to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to optimize operations.


• Work with existing and new suppliers to continuously improve input costs and/or quality.


• Project manage special projects, including R&D, new product launches, key marketing projects, etc.


• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards, including our ISO 13485 MDSAP license requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Business Administration or related field.


• Experience in a supply chain or operations management role.


• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successful project management.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.


• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.


• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

• Occasionally working on our sometimes-noisy production floor


• Occasionally handling heavy loads up to 50 lbs


• Occasional ending, crouching, kneeling
