Position Overview

The Operations Supervisor, Logistics leads and supervises a skilled, unionized workforce across supply chain, warehouse, and field operations to support safe, reliable, and efficient energy delivery. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this role is accountable for day-to-day operational execution, people leadership, safety compliance, and cost control within a designated area or facility.

In this role, you will:


  • Lead, coach, and supervise a skilled unionized workforce to meet daily operational, maintenance, capital project, and emergency response requirements in alignment with applicable collective agreements

  • Plan, allocate, and prioritize work to ensure service levels, productivity, and operational efficiency targets are achieved

  • Manage performance, attendance, development, and training in accordance with HR policies and labour agreements

  • Champion safe work practices, regulatory compliance, and active participation in incident investigations, leading by example in safety leadership

  • Provide hands-on operational oversight to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to company and industry standards

  • Oversee contractors, service providers, and operational costs, including invoice review and variance investigation

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal partners, contractors, municipalities, and emergency response stakeholders

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a Diploma of Technology from a recognized program

  • Certification with Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) or an equivalent professional designation

  • 4–7 years of related field experience, including experience leading or supervising a unionized workforce

  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered

What it takes:


  • Strong knowledge of supply chain, warehouse, inventory, logistics, and transportation operations

  • Demonstrated understanding of safety management systems, processes, and regulatory requirements

  • Working knowledge of collective agreements and labour relations practices

  • Experience with budgeting, cost control, and contract management

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and operational problem‑solving skills

  • Electrical background or electrical systems exposure is considered an asset

  • Proficiency with MS Office and corporate systems
