Job Description - Operators Roads Construction

Reporting to the Foreman/ Superintendent, Equipment Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment. Volker Stevin Contracting is currently seeking Grader Operators, Paver Operators, Roller Operators, Scraper Operators, Screed Operators, and Tandem Operators.

Equipment Operations:

Be capable of operating multiple pieces of construction equipment used in road construction projects.

Operate all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner, and maintain proper awareness of one’s surroundings when operating on public roadways.

Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment; perform routine cleaning to ensure smooth operation of equipment.

Use various pieces of equipment to perform grading, paving, and asphalting.

Other construction related duties as-required.

Work Environment/Conditions:

Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and other weather conditions.

Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 40 LBS on a regular basis.

Weekend work as required
