Orientation Chair

Want to be the person in charge of the best Orientation Week in Canada?

The Orientation Chair for Queen's Engineering Orientation Week works under the President, and alongside Chief FREC to oversee FREC Committee (FC). Their primary responsibilities include handling all external relationships with university stakeholders such as the Orientation Roundtable (ORT), the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and the University. Additionally, the Orientation Chair hires and leads a team of 15 individuals, who in turn will hire and lead ~250 FRECs. You must currently be in 2nd year or older, and returning to classes in September 2026, to apply.

Applicants should possess the following skills/ qualities:

• Interest in project/people management
• Good time management skills, as this position can be time-consuming at certain parts of the year
• Event planning skills
• An absolute love and passion for Orientation Week

The application deadline is Friday, September 19th at 11:59PM. Interviews will be scheduled between September 20th and September 24th.
