On behalf of our client, a well -established, full -service dental laboratory based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, we are looking for an Orthodontic Appliance Technician to join their growing team.

The Opportunity:
This is a hands -on role focused on the fabrication of custom orthodontic appliances. You will be working closely with an experienced team to produce detailed, high -quality work using a combination of traditional and modern techniques with specialized tools. The position requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a production -driven environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical, craft -based work and wants to be part of a stable and growing lab.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has experience working in a dental laboratory, specifically within orthodontics, and is confident in working with wires, acrylics, and appliance fabrication. You take pride in precision work and are comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast -paced environment. You are reliable, detail -oriented, and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. Candidates with strong hands -on skills and a willingness to learn will also be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate orthodontic appliances including retainers, bite planes and a variety of fixed removable and functional appliances
- Perform wire bending and soldering
- Work with both fixed and removable orthodontic appliances including hyrax and lingual arches, hawley and essix retainers and twin blocks
- Manipulate acrylic materials and assemble appliance components
- Follow detailed prescriptions and lab instructions
- Maintain quality control and ensure accuracy of finished products
- Collaborate with team members to meet production timelines
Benefits
- $25–$30 per hour, based on experience
- Full -time, 40 hours per week
