As an Overhead Crane Operator, you’ll play a key role in the safe movement of materials and precast products throughout our manufacturing facility. This position requires strong situational awareness, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
Operate overhead cranes to hoist, move, and place materials and precast products
Perform pre-use inspections and identify maintenance or safety concerns
Calculate load weights and ensure safe rigging and lifting practices
Use crane and hand signals and communicate effectly with team members
Assess work areas and determine safe routes for transporting loads
Safely operate equipment to load, unload, and move materials as required
Assist with general shop and loading bay duties
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Work effectively within a crew environment while following all safety procedures
What We Are Looking For
Safety-focused – understands the importance of proper lifting, rigging, and hazard awareness
Alert – maintains awareness of surroundings and identifies potential risks before they become issues
Adaptable – willing to assist with a variety of tasks as operational needs change
Self-motivated – works efficiently with minimal supervision and takes ownership of responsibilities
Requirements
Successful interview candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment
Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
Available to work evening/night shifts Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
Previous experience operating overhead cranes and knowledge of rigging
Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods
Able to lift 50 lbs. and work on your feet all day
Comfortable working at heights with proper safety equipment
Able to work in a fast-paced, production environment
Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
Assets
Overhead crane training or certification
Experience in precast concrete, manufacturing, or construction environments
Basic understanding of construction practices and materials
