About Kim-Tam Logistics

Since 1964, Kim-Tam Logistics has delivered flatbed services and cross-border transport across North America. As a division of Samuel, Son & Co., we support the metals and construction industries with a focus on safety, service, and long-term stability. 

We’re looking for experienced Owner-Operators to join our Dedicated Heavy Crossborder lane hauling steel product. This is a steady, weekday operation with consistent miles, predictable lanes, and the ability to be home every night.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Hauling steel freight (steel skids)


• Southern Ontario to Michigan and back


• 1 round per day (one outbound, one return) 


• Full Truckload 


• Operating a dedicated company-owned 6-axle Conestoga flatbed trailer 

Start Location: Southern Ontario

• Open to owner-operators based in Woodstock, London, Tillsonburg, Stratford, St. Thomas, Aylmer, Paris, Brantford, Kitchener, Cambridge, and surrounding areas

Schedule

• Monday to Friday (no weekend work) 
  
  
  
  • Start time: between 9AM and 1PM
  
  


• ~10-12 hours per day 


• Home every night + weekends off 

Compensation

• Percentage-based pay – 75% to the truck (Owner Operator receives 75% of gross revenue)


• Average Net Pay (after fuel, plates, and insurance): ~$12,000-15,000/month
  
  
  
  • This estimate does not include individual estimates such as equipment financing, tolls, etc. 
  
  


• Paid direct deposit on a fixed bi-weekly period (26 pays/year)

Additional Costs

• Parking: Owner-operator Responsibility 


• Tolls, Transponders, Bridge Crossings

What We’re Looking For

• Incorporated Independent Contractors with reliable equipment 


• Valid AZ license with a strong safety record (presentation of CVOR and Abstract printed within the last 30 days is documentation required upon application)


• 2 years minimum experience hauling a multi-axle flatbed 


• 2 years minimum experience hauling steel product 


• 1 year minimum experience hauling crossborder 


• Proven load securement experience


• Professional, reliable, and safety-focused
