The City of Port Colborne is looking to fill a seasonal Parks Summer Equipment Operator position. In this position, you will operate equipment, use tools and perform physical labour to provide operational and maintenance services to municipal recreation facilities. You will ensure the facilities are ready for use including cleaning of washrooms, flooding of ball diamonds, garbage removal, etc. You will ensure that the facilities are maintained in a safe, clean and attractive condition. Variable shifts from Sunday to Saturday, 40 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
OSSD or equivalent
Valid, unrestricted Driver’s License with DZ Endorsement is considered an asset
Technical knowledge of safe work practices
Ability to operate associated tools, machines equipment, and Group 4 equipment including trucks up to 16,000 GVW with attachments
Ability to provide operational and maintenance services to municipal recreation facilities
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work
Ability to communicate effectively
Teamwork and cooperation
This is a seasonal, unionized position working through to October 2026 and the rate of pay is $31.29 per hour, with eligibility for enrolment in the OMERS Pension Plan.
