Part-Time Assistant Instructor

Salary Range:$17.19 - $17.72 as per Schedule "A"

Responsibilities

• Assists in the instruction Lifesaving Society Swim programs (Preschool, Parent and tot, Youth and Adult) programs.
• Assists the Instructor as directed, performing duties, such as, but not limited to:
  • Assist the instructor in the delivery of swim lessons,
  • Assists in evaluating candidates,
  • Assists with questions/concerns from parents.
• Qualifications must remain current at all times (within two years of certification date).
• Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.
• Help with the set up deck and pool prior to Instruction periods and clean up after.

Qualifications

• Lifesaving Assistant Water Safety Instructor Certificate,
• Bronze Cross Certificate or National Lifeguard,
• Standard First Aid and CPR-C,
• Excellent physical condition,
• Ability to pleasantly deal with the public.

Hours of work not to exceed forty-eight (48) hours in a two week period in accordance with the C.U.P.E., Local 1146 - Inside/Part-time Unit collective agreement.
