Parts and Service Advisor

NORTHLAND FLEET SERVICES is recruiting for a Parts and Service Advisor

Located in the beautiful Rocky Foothills community of Tumbler Ridge, BC, with all types of recreational activities nearby – snowmobiling, fishing, hiking, camping!

This position will support NORTHLAND FLEET SERVICES retail operations and will be responsible for coordinating service and repair activities for customer units, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient scheduling and effective communication between customers and our mechanical shop. NORTHLAND FLEETS SERVICES is a member of LAPRAIRIE Group of Companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage work orders for maintenance and repairs on customer units and internal fleet units.


• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize tasks based on operational needs and unit availability.


• Track and document parts usage and labour hours for each unit.


• Update customers regarding unit status and estimated completion times.


• Manage parts inventory and initiate orders as needed to support scheduled work.


• Keep inventory organized and inventory records accurate.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in an on-road or heavy-duty equipment repair shop.


• Working knowledge of internal systems such as engines, hydraulics, HVAC and electrical components.


• Strong organizational and time management skills.


• Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, supervisors and customers.


• Good documentation and recordkeeping skills.


• Data entry and data editing skills.


• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is an asset.


• Experience with external fleet management companies such as Emkay or Holman an advantage.


• Must hold a valid driver’s license.


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems including Outlook and Excel.
