The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $61,400 - $80,600. The offered salary will be based on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills and qualifications.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a Parts Recovery & Technical Services Support to support our Product Quality and Service Support (PQSS) team. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager of Advanced Technologies Quality.

The selected candidate will oversee the overall operation of the Parts Recovery Centre (PRC) and the Parts Recovery Management System (PRMS) for TCI and Dealers. In addition, they will be responsible for maintaining our Service Test Car (STC) fleet, TCI Demo Vehicle fleet administration and Service Maintenance, assist with shop activities as required, assist with Quality promotions and perform Quality Surveys.

The requirement for the Parts Recovery & Technical Services Support role is to be in-person full-time.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Oversee overall operation of the Parts Recovery Centre (PRC) by handling the incoming and outgoing shipments of recovered parts.
  • Ensure proper flow and documentation of all recovery parts.
  • Prepare parts shipment including documentation and packaging while ensuring any DG regulations are followed
  • Oversee the Parts Recovery Management System (PRMS) that allows parts to be recovered from Dealers for quality investigations
  • Enter Special Parts Recovery Investigations (SPRIs) into PRMS and Rapid for recovery and tracking requirements
  • Liaison with KWE, our outside Logistics Company that receives a majority of recovered parts that are sent by Dealers for PRMS recoveries
  • Receive incoming shipments from KWE or directly from dealers (Special Shipments)
  • Maintain the PQSS Service Test Car (STC) fleet. Ensure vehicles are clean, fueled, maintained and returned when required while coordinating replacement STCs
  • TCI Demo Vehicle fleet administration and Service Maintenance
  • Various reporting responsibilities for PRC, PRMS, Demo Services, etc.
  • Assist with shop activities as required (e.g. Pre Delivery Corrections (PDCs), assistance with other repairs and shop activities)
  • Assist with Quality promotions through the year (e.g., Quality Month, Customer First Confirmation Day (CFCD) and JKK)
  • Perform Quality Surveys via parts recoveries and investigations
  • Study current PRC and PRMS operations and make recommendations on how to Kaizen
  • Create and submit warranty claims for any warrantable repairs conducted in the QA shop
  • Occasionally safely handle materials of varying moderate to heavy mass and may include lifting, moving and preparing materials with or without reasonable accommodation

What You’ll Bring:

  • Diploma or certificate in a related university or college program
  • Registered or willing to register as an apprentice technician in the Motor Vehicle trade
  • Has 1 year automotive technical work experience or a proven ability for mechanical work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting of materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Bilingual (French/English) preferred
  • DG certified for Air Transport (IATA)/Ground (TDG) or willing to certify
  • A valid G driver’s license
