We take pride in keeping our customers’ vehicles and fleets moving safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail, and we’re looking for a skilled Parts Technician to help uphold that standard.

The Parts Technician plays a key role in supporting the service department by managing inventory, supplying parts to mechanics/technicians, and ensuring accuracy in ordering, receiving, and tracking parts. This position maintains adequate stock levels, assists with work orders, supports the front counter team when needed, and promotes efficiency within the shop. This role requires an organized, detail-focused individual with strong product knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

Inventory & Parts Management

  • Maintain appropriate (min/max) stock levels to support daily service operations.

  • Monitor parts usage, place orders, and track incoming inventory.

  • Receive and process inventory and special-order parts shipments, verifying accuracy and condition.

  • Ensure special order parts are entered onto the appropriate work order.

  • Maintain organized, accurate inventory records within inventory management systems.

  • Participate in inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.

  • Seek efficiencies and improvements in inventory workflow and storage layout.

Shop & Technician Support

  • Prepare parts carts daily to support mechanic/technician workflow.

  • Supply parts to mechanics/technicians throughout the day as required.

  • Assist with work order and invoice updates for active jobs.

  • Provide parts information, pricing, and availability to sales and service staff.

  • Pick up required parts from suppliers as needed.

  • Coordinate with mechanics/technicians and Shop Foreman to ensure correct part usage and availability.

Customer & Front-End Support

  • Support the front counter team by providing parts knowledge, answering phone calls, and assisting customer walk-ins as needed.

  • Assist in maintaining showroom organization, cleanliness, and product display.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support pricing, availability, and supply reliability.

  • Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.

  • Provide timely assistance to ensure a positive customer experience and smooth front-end operations.

Who You Are

  • Technical certificate or parts/mechanics training considered an asset.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in parts, warehouse, or inventory management preferred.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management and parts handling procedures.

  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency using inventory and shop management software.

  • Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with gas/diesel components.

  • Ability to lift and move parts up to 50 lbs.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

  • Reliable, positive, and solutions-focused attitude.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement in efficiency and process.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and related digital systems.

  • Experience using Shopmonkey would be an asset.

  • Must hold and maintain a Saskatchewan driver’s license and have an acceptable Driver’s Abstract.

  • Working experience in automotive, light- or heavy-duty truck industry would be an asset.
