We are currently seeking a Patient Partner Coordinator to support our diploma programs by building and nurturing meaningful partnerships with patients and families. In this role, you will independently manage key coordination activities and ensure patient voices are thoughtfully integrated into our educational environment. 


About the Role 


The Patient Partner Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering strong, respectful partnerships between patients, families, and healthcare education providers. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting patient partners to ensure their active and meaningful participation in educational initiatives, projects, and committees. Working closely with faculty and staff, the Coordinator helps embed patient perspectives into program delivery and organizational practices. 


Employment Type: Part-time, 1-year contract (Hybrid) 
Schedule: 5 hours per week 
Location: Surrey, BC & Remote 
Pay Rate: $30 per hour 
Start Date: As soon as possible 


What You Will Do 



  • Collaborate with Stenberg staff to support the recruitment of patient partners. 

  • Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with patient partners. 

  • Provide ongoing guidance and support, responding to patient partner needs and concerns. 

  • Ensure patient partners have the information and resources required to contribute effectively. 

  • Act as a key liaison between patient partners and healthcare education providers.

  • Coordinate orientation and training sessions for patient partners. 

  • Collect feedback through surveys and follow-up conversations to support continuous improvement. 

  • Coordinate honoraria and payments for patient partners accurately and in a timely manner. 


Qualifications Required  



  • Post-secondary education in healthcare or a related field is an asset. 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient engagement, volunteer coordination, or a similar role. 

  • Strong understanding of patient-centered care principles. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups, including students, patients, families, and healthcare professionals. 

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with database management. 

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
